"Cuando"
Argentine Folkloric Dance

 

     A court dance, from the beginning of the XIX century, which was danced in rural areas as well as in highclass
ball rooms.  Became popular in the Cuyo, Center and Southern areas.  

CLASSIFICATION

Each dancer on its own and separately

POSITION

  Faced each other at both extremes of the dancing square. The man with its left side towards the public. 

ELEMENTS

   Simple Minué step  (starting with the right foot) and with natural steps.  Arms and hands in position for  simple Minue steps.  
Basic step (starts with the left foot).  Arms and hands in castanet position.  Arms and hands in winnowing position.
