COUNTER POINT "MALAMBO"

A competition where there is no limit in the number of competitors. These dance one after

the other creating a figure of their own, and the  winner  will be the one with

more skills, creativity and with the largest diversity of figures.

A  CHALLANGE OF FIGURES

It's among two competitors who challange each other with a dancing "figure".  One starts

with a basic figure called "escobillado" (like softly brushing the floor), then proposes

a figure to hiscompetitor, and ends with  a salute.  Following, the other dancer.

starts with the basic figure,  then tries to imitate his competitor's figure, then  performs

a figure of his own,and closes with a final salute. When one of the proposed dancers is

unable to  complete the  proposed figure, becomes the looser and the competition ends

"BOLEADORAS"

The Argentine Gaucho, did not use "Boleadoras" in the "Malambo",he only used its to work.

The "Boleadoras" are used by the city man for artistic shows.
