 Dated back to the period of the argentine independence.  Danced  in the rural areas of   
all provinces  from 1825 to approximately  1900.  Of southern origin.

Each dancer on its own and separately    

POSITION  

Dancers facing each other at both diagonal extremes of the imaginary dancing square.      

ELEMENTS

Basic step (starts with the left foot).  Arms and hands in castanet position.   
Arms and hands in Winnowing and "Zapateo" positions.

A balancing movement in corner and then forward to the center (*)  6 measures
